Answer:	I use these as student brushes, and so far they are of decent quality for acrylic painting. In the classroom, I have strict handling procedures to clean and store brushes. In the 3 months of usage, no bristles have shed. However, I use mostly the fine tip brushes and and not the flat edged ones. Worth the money for the 60 count.

Question:	Can I write words with these brushes
Answer:	Amongst the pack there are several finer tipped brushes which would be good for lettering, but that also really depends on the user too (if you're familiar with using paints for detail work or not---I know I am terrible at lettering with paints, but that's just me). So if you are good with paints, the there are definitely small enough brushes that you could, but If you aren't used to detail work, I would suggest using an acrylic pen instead, as it'll have the same effect as paint, but will be a whole lot easier to control.
