| Answer: | Yes, that's a good use for such a light panel, but this is probably a little bigger than you need unless you plan to capture multiple negatives in one shot. Such 'ganging" is best for reference: showing a whole roll of 35mm film, or four or six 4x5 negatives that form a natural group or share a subject. The resolution created by such a multiple-negative scan will NOT allow for an enlargement you'd be satisfied to display. An image of a 35mm roll (36 film exposures) needs an 8.5x11 panel minimum. Then if you want to use all the camera resolution for one negative, you'll bring the tripod a *lot* closer to capture the single neg. You need a dedicated macro lens. This is something I have done professionally. Watch some videos for more suggestions. |

| Answer: | The light board has like a grid of dots when the light is on. My opinion is that the photo negatives would most likely show the little dots on the light. Thus causing it very hard to see the negatives clearly. This is strictly my thoughts as I don't have any negatives to try it out for you. Sorry I can't help more with your question.
