I can't imagine your drawing with the board nearly vertical. But if you did you might need some sort of backup behind the board's base so that is wouldn't slide. It is a good board. Mine came with a faulty base; but a little glue applied and the part clamped until it dried, my repair fixed it right up. I gave it a lowish number of stars back then. But after I made the simple repair it became a 5-star item. |

| Answer: | Most of it is already assembled. You will have to attach the little shelf to the front. (You may want to put it back inside when storing or travelling.) It's easy, the washers and screws are provided and the holes are already drilled. Depending on the brand, the mast may need to be removed and turned to hold canvasses or boards in place. This is also very easy. There are some interior dividers included. You can use them or not as you wish. You could even glue them in place, but then you would not be able to rearrange them if you wanted, so you might want to simply securely tape them. The boxes are well balanced and stable when set up. I've bought seven of these for my grandchildren who love to paint and think it's great to have a decent easel. This is also good enough for a more serious adult , although it's certainly not top of the line. It seems study and will hold a decent number of brushes, paint tubes, and other items. I ended up drilling more holes on the front so I could position the shelf / canvas holder at different heights as needed. That was a bit tricky as the wood was harder than expected, which is actually a good thing. The handle seemed fine. The latches were good (and you can always add more) and it is easy enough to carry and isn't so big it will weigh you down. I've bought a couple of different brands of this type easel, so I don't remember which this was. Some were a bit more finished off than the others, but all worked well. The low price was especially appreciated. Even if you don't like it, you will not have spent a fortune. I hope this helps. |

| Answer: | I sent my easel back so I can't measure it for you but I couldn't get a thin, opened coloring book to stay on the ledge. Unfortunately this isnt the beat easel I've seen. If your tablet isn't to thick or in a thick case, I'm sure this would work for you. They do have tablet cases with stands in them tho... just a thought. |

| Answer: | Assembled, but poorly put together. Hinges were broke, screwed in locations where the latches were not working. Cool product but no quality control. I changed all the hinges and threw some stain on it and now it will do. Wood is miss matched and poorly cut, but you can fix it so it functions with a drill and some new parts from a art store. |

| Answer: | Hi Jackie, I used this board for drawing and painting on 9 x 12 paper. It was big enough to draw in portrait orientation. The board is lightweight, so when I was using it, I had to ensure that the back of the board was sitting against the wall or something heavy to ensure it didn't move. Once the board was stable it was rather good to use. If you work small and have limited space, this is ideal. I hope this helps. |
