You can use them wet or dry as both work well. Another thing is they don't change color when activated with water. What you put down is what you will get. Answer:	I did not find company information about what type of pencils these 180 from Shuttle Art brand are considered to be. They are described as soft. I found many other CP's labeled soft are also wax-based, however they quickly combine with water. So, I don't know. I do love these pencils for their vivid colors, wide selection of colors and value.

Answer:	I just recently purchased my second set of these, and the new set has numbers printed on the pencils.
Question:	Are they oil based or wax based? And are they as good quality as prismacolors
Answer:	According to the seller, they are wax based. I found out they are very pigmentated and the colors are as “deep” as the Prismacolor ones, but they are not as soft as the Prismas (which to me is a great thing, I don’t like too soft pencils). I righly recommended the Castle set, the pencils are awesome!
Question:	do these pencils have toxic lead in them
Answer:	I don't really have an answer, this is something better answered by the manufacturer. However being the suspicious type person that I am, I don't put the points in my mouth. I assume you are inquiring for a younger user, or maybe small kids at home. There are many different minerals that are crushed to make pigment as well as some plant products. As a general rule of thumb, I don't recommend ingesting any art supply product. I don't have a good answer regarding the toxicity issue.

Answer:	They go by number and they are already placed in the case in proper sequence.
Question:	are these pencils the same as the 120 set that comes in the tin
Answer:	The pencils are much less expensive and maybe just a tad bit better in some ways. Castle pencils keep the points better thus they are not as soft or buttery but still lay down beautifully. With the 120 set of Castle, I had one pencil come with a broken tip (002) and one core broke when I sharpened it. Castle pencils blend beautifully with the blender pen and the Prismacolor blender pencil. The other nice thing about Castle is their guarantee if you are not happy with your pencil set. Let them know and they will refund and let you keep the pencils. This guarantee was instrumental in my purchasing Castle. I, also, own the 150 set of Prismacolor colored pencils and love them except they break often when I sharpen them so I often use the sand paper board to get a nice point and to save the length of my pencil. When I get a nice sharp point on the Prisma, the very tip will crumble but this doesn't happen with the Castle so far. The Castle core seems to be a bit harder. There are advantage to both but the Castle price is much better.

Question:	Where are these made
Answer:	It all depends on how you color (pressure) and what materials you use (paper, eraser). I applied the pencils with a lot of pressure to a piece of basic copier paper and my electric eraser was able to remove abot 70% of the color. If you are using basic pink and white erasers the color will smear initially, but with some continual pressure and erasing you can accomplish the same as an electric eraser. There will still be a trace of color left behind.
Question:	Could I use any sharpener for these

Answer:	Hello, Odors are very common in art supplies, especially coloring supplies. Although our pencils are not supposed to smell - you could have received a very fresh set. Letting air out for a week or two usually does the trick. I hope you can try doing that, but let me know if the smell persists and I’d be happy to sort it out for you.

Answer:	It is easy to open/close. It does not require strength. Closing is more like a push-down while holding a button on the side.I use one hand to hold the canister and the other to open the lid. However, you could use your arm to hold the canister if need be.It is a great purchase.
Question:	I purchased these pencils 2 weeks ago and I love them, I have put my prismacolors to the side. My question is there a larger set
Answer:	Yes, very air tight and stinky food smells do not come out at all. I was so amazed as I really thought people were exaggerating. I have used it for dried fish... Yes fish and you know how toxic that is and not a peep of smell comes out the second you put the cap on. When you put the cap on you can hear the seal sucking out the air. Works for years. I open and close mine multiple times a week since 2014 and still works perfectly. I got the pound size. Buying a smaller one today will review how good the seal is on 2016 product when I get it.

Question:	Are these tested fir lightfast
Answer:	No; the ends are colored in the same shade as the lead; however, I found these in exact. I ended up giving these pencils to my grandkids and spent the extra money for a set of Prismacolors. I have seen reviews for other, more economical sets on some of the sites for coloring book fans, though. You might want to do a bit of research before you buy.
Question:	Do they blend nicely
Answer:	Hello, Dear friend Thank you for your question. The size of the sketch book is 8.3x 11.7 (A4). One set includes 2 x 50 Page Drawing Pads and 72 colored pencils in a tin box.
Question:	Are they labeled by color
Answer:	No they’re opaque but if colored with lightly you can get some translucent effect as you build up layers. These are very nice pencils to work with.
Question:	What is the size of the sketch book
Answer:	Goldfaber Pencils have good lightfastness. These pencils use many of the same pigments found in Polychromos and AD pencils, however the binders, waxes and lead diameters are different. Goldfaber is available in 48 colors; Polychromos is available in 120 individually lightfast rated colors.

Answer:	Great questions! The Crayola Masterworks Art Case is specially designed to hold the creative materials that are included and to keep everything in place. Regular size colored pencils will not fit securely in the case. While you may be able to store a few sheets of paper or a thin drawing pad in the case, we want you to be aware that the design does not allow much room for that. Hope this helps.
