Of time, like the power button or one of the other buttons and then the camera will reset itself. That usually works for us if that doesn't work I'm checking the mail. I would call Amazon if you have a warranty on it if you don't have a warranty on it you might be in trouble. personally I put a three year warranty on everything even if it is just a cheap children's toy because then I know if anything happens to it I'm covered in Amazon will automatically replace it free of charge if anything happens.

Inserting the ink cartridge

Step 1: To insert your ink cartridge, gently unscrew the black nib of the calligraphy pen and put the cartridge (smaller opening end first) into the opening.

Step 2: Hold the inserted ink cartridge against a strong surface, such as a table top, and press down firmly on the pen to force the cartridge to click into place. You will hear a click when the back of the pen nib pierces the cartridge.

Step 3: Screw the nib back onto the pen and place the calligraphy pen upright for a minute or two, prior to use. Then gently press it onto a scrap piece of paper to start the ink flow – it should only take a couple of strokes for the ink to start flowing. You’re now ready to start writing!

Using your pen

To keep the ink flowing smoothly, always hold your pen so that the nib is angled between 30° and 45° to the paper (calligraphy pens are not designed to be used in the same way as stationery pens).

Note: Medium and broad nibs are a great choice for beginners because they give you more control.

Care

· To keep your nibs in good condition, always clean and return them to the box after each session.

· Wash the nib under lukewarm water after extended use and dry carefully with a soft cloth. Do not allow ink to dry on the nib as this will stop it from flowing. Once clean and dry, replace the cap.

· Carry and store your pen upright (nib upright) to prevent leakage.

Answer:	I didn't see any mention of cartridges in the title or description. However, I did see that an ink bottle and nibs are included. Nibs and cartridges are different. Nibs are interchangeable pen tips while cartridges are tiny tubes filled with ink (my daughter left one in a bag and I almost crushed it with a book because I didn't see it--ugh) that are refills for the type of pen that uses them. I hope this helps. I've done a lot of research over the past year because I was so lost when it came to anything dealing with calligraphy when I was starting out.

Answer:	Yes. It has the "gothicized italic" style. Page 74 with instructions as which nib, pen, or marker you would need as well as the angle to hold as you write. My teacher said to get it. It's by Speedball and these writing instruments are what they do. Hope this helps.

Answer:	This textbook covers many hands: Monoline, Gothic, Roman, Foundational, Brush lettering, Italic, Versals, Uncial, Hebrew, Neuland, Blackletter, Old English, Pointed Pen, Spencerian, Roundhand, Sign Painting and Display lettering. It is wonderful textbook that teaches how to use all of the Speedball nibs. I am not a fan of Speedball. I use Brause Nibs. I find that they are better made and last longer. I recommend this book and all of the Speedball textbooks. They have hand that were developed over the past century. It is worth the investment.

Question:	Are the inks waterproof
Answer:	This is Pen and Ink don't press harder you will destroy your nibs. It takes a while to get the ink to flow through. To speed up the process a slightly wet paper towel drawn down the front of the nib will get it to flow faster. You can open the pen and lightly squeeze the ink cartridge to get ink to flow. Make sure you put a paper towel over the nib to catch any excess ink you would not believe how messy ink can be. Also touching the nib to your wet tongue can work. Your tongue will stain with the ink. You can also try a quick tap on desk or table, the whole pen not nib.

Answer:	Unfortunately if you’re left handed you have to do calligraphy upside down. I kid you not. My mom is left handed and told me this. She took a class and that’s what they did. She quit the class because it was ridiculous.
