Answer:	I took a piece of black card stock and I wrote my name on it. It didn't bleed and it looks fine, to me. They are not expensive pens but I found them to work well with my projects. Good luck.

Question:	Is there a way to upgrade from the 24 marker set to the 48 color set without getting duplicate colors (they are refillable, no need for duplicates
Answer:	It transfers colors! I used the pen to transfer logos onto wooden nickels. (Just make sure it's laser printed and not an ink jet printer.) you can also use xylene (got mine at lowes) if you're going to do mass amounts. The pen did about 75 wooden nickels for me. Whereas the xylene did 100 front and back with about 1/4c.
Question:	Are these water or alcohol based
Answer:	The cap should not be off. It's probably dead. You can try dipping it in nail polish remover (same stuff that's in the marker) to try to revive it, but probably better to return for a new one. Although I've not used it for colored pencils, it works well for me.

Question:	What is in the colorless blender
Answer:	Ink jet photocopies do not transfer well regardless of method used. The Chartpak pens work great as long as the photocopies are laser. Laser ink sits on top of the paper and will release onto your watercolor paper, whereas the ink jet ink permeates the paper it prints on so doesn't release well to another surface. Make sure you have a well ventilated room, since the solvent in the pen is very strong.
Question:	Does this work with water-based markers for blending? (Or just colored pencils
Answer:	Yes it will transfer using a toner based image to a rock. If the rock has been painted it’s much more difficult.

Answer:	The colorless markers have no color. They have the marking solution with no pigment. The odor is quite strong. They need to be used in well ventilated area.

Answer:	It is used to blend colors or to soften the effect of the color being laid down. I keep a supply of them (rather than using only one for all colors). It will help you with getting the effect you want.
Question:	Aren't these markers supposed to have some liquid in them? Mine arrived totally dry and I don't know what to do with them
Answer:	I just watched a tutorial where the colorist was using Derwent Inktense pencils and activating them with the blender. It was exciting to see and I plan on trying that. I don't know how the blender would work with regular watercolor pencils. I have some on order so I will be finding out. Hope this helps. PS Youtube has many vids available about this.

It's alcohol-based, as the markers are, so it doesn't seem as if they would work for the same purpose (blending) of water or oil based pencils. Answer:	Colored pencils are not as vibrant so this pen might clash w the look you want to create. I wd not mix colored pencils and markers myself
