Answer:	I’ve had mine for over a year and will go a month or more without using it depending on my current project. I have never had any problems with the tip oxidizing and I live in a very humid climate.

Answer:	The wooden handle is smooth. The metal point has a bit of texture. Great sewing tool. In use mine frequently.
Question:	I haven't sewn for 40 years and am recently trying to get back into it. I have never heard of a stiletto. What is it
Answer:	The metal point of the stiletto is used to guide the fabric under the sewing foot. Extremely useful at the end of the run when there is too little fabric to hold by hand to make sure your seams stay straight and the fabric is guided correctly. Also great when sewing over open seams to use that point to hold down the seams in place as they go under the foot. So often they tend to go under the foot in the wrong position and get sew down all cattywompus or you have to raise the foot to straighten the seams. It's like using a better hand to precisely guide the fabric. This particular stiletto is completely fabulous. The metal tip is a tiny bit rough to give it some "tooth" and the flat back end is great for flat pressing open seams like finger pressing but better. The metal point is also great if you need to punch a whole. It's very comfortable in your hand and after using stilettos for a few years, I couldn't imagine sewing without one and have found this one is definitely worth the investment.

Question:	Are both tips iron-proof it is only the grey tip safe for ironing
Answer:	It does not have enough of a hook to pull thru pants. For this job I use a "Drawstring Threader" made by Dritz. I am sorry I do not remember where I got it, but it does work really well.
Question:	Can you buy the silicone replacement tip
Answer:	Yes, and the end has a slight curve to make it easier to hold down the fabric as you sew into the needle. No more accidentally getting a needle in a finger. Handy for getting thick seams to lay correctly as you sew. Great if you do small things, doll clothes, purses, etc. The other end is great for turning small corners. The center has a slit to pull a piece of elastic through a waistband or making crib sheets with elastic around the edges.
Question:	Where is this item made
Answer:	This is adjustable and should work with hoops of every size.
Question:	I cannot get my tool to twist. I have tried everything. Could someone please tell me which part of the tool on the putty end is supposed to twist
Answer:	I have not worked from mine yet. I have a needlepoint canvas attached to scrolls and then attached to the clamps. The box says the stand "holds hoops (round or oval) and scroll frames." It does not say what size hoop is required so six inches may be fine.
Question:	I recently bought this and the putty keeps coming out of the hole, even though I am storing it upright. is it defective
Answer:	I have just set up my stand with a Q-snap frame. Because the clamp has a nice groove, the frame fits nicely without having to crush it. However, I did have to take the snapping piece of the Q-snap frame off because it let the whole thing twist and turn. Without that piece, the stand holds my Q-snap just like it does a scroll frame.
Question:	The tip of my QuickStik is filled with putty. Can you tell me how I can clean it out? It bothers me. Otherwise I really like it. Thanks Betty
Answer:	Yes and no. You can't flip it by twisting it from left to right (or vice versa) due to the length of the screws on either side of the wooden pieces that attach to your scroll/frame/hoop. BUT, I assembled it with the part in the picture that has a slightly pointed tip facing DOWN instead of UP, so I can flip my work straight up for ending stitches, or all the way over if I needed to for some reason. If the twisting motion was super important to access the back of your work then you could probably get a much longer bolt from the hardware store and a piece of wood (to take up the extra space). That would give you enough room to get 360 degree access by twisting your work fro left to right/right to left.
Question:	I have a problem advancing the tacky solution...the tip will not turn. is it defective
Answer:	Restor-A-Shine Polishing Compound doesn't have much of a smell, so it can be used indoors with a nearby window open for ventilation.

Question:	What is the difference between this (#7803) and the clover turn tool
Answer:	The 7803 is 7" long, the 9613 is just over 9" long. That's the only difference I can see, but I don't own the 9613, so I'm not familiar with any other possible difference. I can tell you that I use the 7803 very frequently on a multitude of sewing/quilting projects, and highly recommend it to anyone who sews and needs to turn seams or have a method of sharpening the points in piecing and applique. I wouldn't be without it.
Question:	Can anyone tell me where this item is made
Answer:	I don’t have the packaging any longer, so I can’t help you. It does work really well anD doesn’t poke through the fabric and leave a hole.
Question:	Has anyone tried using a chopstick to turn out corners? How does this product compare
Answer:	I purchased this item a couple years ago and I have probably used it three or four times. I think chopsticks do a better job and are easier to handle. For turning out corners in the quilts I make I either use chopsticks or a sharpened pencil with the lead broken off. I found this item unhandy and a waste of money.
Question:	Is this made from the same material as the plastic point turner or the hera marker
Answer:	It seems to me, as I have both, that it is the same material as the blue part of the point turner.

Answer:	Personally, I don't care for it. I much prefer the "Purple Thang". This one seems to be somewhat heavy in the handle and too flexible in the tip. The Thang is lighter in weight and love the way it presses seams between sewing blocks.

Answer:	No, this one isn't textured. I does not have the wooden iron top or flat side to keep it from rolling on the floor. Go to byannie.com and get hers. I still use this one to poke holes for plastic snaps. Annie's tool is a must for controlling fabric under the presser foot.
