Question: | Is it washable |
Answer: | This paper is about the same thickness as regular card stock. I have a Canon MX870 printer and I use the rear feed so the paper doesn't jam on me. |
Question: | Any have tried with epson printer? Does the ink run using epson printer |
Answer: | 8 sheets |
Question: | do I need to treat the fabric to keep the pictures bright if washed |
Answer: | Use an exacto knife. Insert the blade between the sheets on an unglued end and pull it around to the front edge of the glued side. Then go slowly down the edge. The knife will cut through the glue and then you can pull the page off of the back glued side. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I was thinking of printing out blocks to be sewn onto a duvet cover that would be washed about once a month. Would this fade the printing |
Answer: | I made a signature wedding wall hanging quilt. I just printed all pictures and began to sew. However, I'm only assuming the baby booties will be washed, so for safety sake I'd heat seal them and air dry. |
Question: | Does it fray when cut? And do you need special ink or printer |
Answer: | I used it on black fabric and it worked just fine. Bear in mind, that the Avery printable fabric that I used is white and the print was black. |
Question: | What kind of fabric is it? I want to make washcare labels for clothing. Is the fabric too stiff or soft |
Answer: | as far as I can tell will work in any printer that will except heavy weight paper. scotch guard using multiple thin light coats to protect your images. if you are planning to do projects that may need laundering. |
Question: | Does this have a sticky side once you peel off the backing |
Answer: | No. The directions say it may be sprayed with "Scotch Guard", but when a very light spray was tried, the ink immediately began to run. I use instead the Tailor Colorfast Fabric Sheets for Ink Jet Printers. It gives directions on how to "set" the picture, but I would never consider any of the products washable as in a machine. Several pillows and a quilt have been made with the Tailor product and It has proved to be very satisfactory. |

User questions & answers
Question: | can you put varnish on it after printing? Also, Can you paint ontop of the print and then varnish |
Answer: | Hi Ranna, the fabric is not soft. I think, though, that it will somewhat soften up after washing. I don't remember whether it is 100% cotton or a blend, but because it is treated, it feels a bit thick and stiff. |
Question: | What color is the canvas paper? I have another that is off white and i’d like a true white. Thanks in advance |
Answer: | No, it is not sticky on either side. It is meant to be stitched to other fabric. |
Question: | Can you sew with this |
Answer: | It is an off white. The texture is a fabric type and the background fabric does not show through. |
Question: | Can you paint over a printed image using transparent oil paint (e.g. Marshall's Oil)? Do you recommend using a fixative |
Answer: | This is not a transfer type product. The fabric is more like a cotton canvas fabric and would be very stiff on silk. It works best when applied with high heat setting on the iron, so that might damage delicate silks. I have used many products over the years, and I love this product because it works the best for my purposes. I mainly do cotton fabrics, and blends. I am also going to start using it on woods and metals. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Are these 100% cotton? Are they sew on? I plan on making clothing labels |
Answer: | This canvas is quite thick and stiff and athough you can sew onto it, it will not be easy. NOTE! that this is an artists canvas designed for pictures for the wall. You cannot use it for other applications |
Question: | Will this work with a hp photosmart c |
Answer: | I’m curious whether it could be printed on, gessoed and then oil painted. Or would sizing and grounds be recommended? I’m certainly not advanced enough for the latter, but I could do the former. |
Question: | Can you color these with fabric paint |
Answer: | I do not think the quality of the print will be retained on an item washed that often. It is recommended that any printed item have very limited gentle washing and no drying in dryer. |
Question: | Can't heat it on like other sheets |
Answer: | It does not fray when cut but, it is cotton fabric so it may fray after washing. I always seam it into a block or turn under the edges and hand sew onto the back of a quilt for a label so I never see the raw edges after washing. I run the sheets through my Epson ink jet printer (several of them over the years) and the results are good. Adjust the printer properties for High Quality for best results. Do not use a laser printer. |

Question: | Is this fabric 100% cotton? is it made in the usa |
Answer: | The EQ Printables Inkjet Fabric Sheets are 100% cotton. They are sew on. The instructions included in the package are very good. There is a easy process you have to go through to make the fabric hold the print. I find they work very well. I just used them for two memory quilts. |
Question: | Is this product also machine washable after the photo is printed |
Answer: | These should work fine with your HP PhotoSmart c6280. The EQ sheets come with clear and detailed directions. Be sure to follow them. Even if you use refiled ink cartridges for other purposes, I would recommend using only fresh genuine HP cartridges made for your printer. I'd also do a jet cleaning before printing the fabric sheets. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How closely do you have to cut images? If you don't cut closely enough will there be a white border |
Answer: | Probably not, but it is thin fabric and may get worn out if it's touched a lot. Color will probably stick but may get worn and tear if it's abused. |
Question: | Can i use these on a charcoal gray shirt |
Answer: | According to the instruction I had (2015), you can wash with softner, cold water gentle, no soap. |
Question: | Would this work for printing white font onto black shirts? If so, how would I do this |
Answer: | I have not done it but imagine a fusible backing would work. I’d be careful to pick one that is flexible like fabric rather than stiff. |
Question: | does it work on sweatshirt |
Answer: | My wife uses the basic inkjet sheets. Both are Inkjet Fabric sheets. The "lawn" sheets are slightly higher quality I think. Here is a link to the webpage for the manufacturer of both. http://electricquilt.com/online-shop/lawn-inkjet-fabric/ |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why is this showing the same picture of ink jet fabric sheet with a 25 count, one package is like 35$ and the other package is like 82$ both packages read exactly alike. just one cost a lot more than the other |
Answer: | no, you need white transfer sheets for white shirts, printers don't ususally print white. White is empty space. Use an outline font with a the outline color matching your fabric color, black for a black fabric etc. Print the lettering you desire onto white transfer paper and cut them apart using the borders of the outline font as a guide. Then iron them on. it may be difficult to keep them spaced properly though. Think about printing a black or matching background color onto the paper when you print the lettering then you won't have to worry about the spacing when you iron them on. |
Question: | Has anyone hand embroidered on these sheets after printing on them |
Answer: | I've put a transfer on a sweatshirt. It's been washed about 20 times and still in great shape. The transfer has the feel of the old red and white checked oil cloth table cloths (If you remember those). |
Question: | is this fabric white or off white |
Answer: | the sheets are 8 1/2 X 11 so you can make 3- 8 X 10's or cut to any size you want & still have a boarder to sew the seam with. yes it's expensive |
Question: | Do these allow you to iron the fabric onto other fabric? I want to be able to heat-seal the image |
Answer: | Yes, this product does have a paper backing that is peeled off after printing. Thank you. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the fabric see through? can it give the see-through effect once attached to another material |
Answer: | The fabric is not white. It has a very, very light touch of egg white or ivory. I put it up against a white sheet of paper and it was obviously not white and I could see the color contrast plainly. I've made two "life" quilts for my grandkids and working on number three and I love this stuff. |
Question: | can you cut your design without fraying |
Answer: | This does not have iron-on backing. It's printable fabric mounted on paper that will feed through your printer from the tray on the back (one sheet at the time). The instructions on how to set the color are very easy to follow (I believe you rinse in cool water, let dry and then iron to set it, but check the package back for details), and the quilt I made three years ago still has vibrant color - it's only been washed once, but I can't tell it's ever been washed. |
Question: | I am trying to find silk for Easter eggs. Will this work the same if I print designs on the paper |
Answer: | There is definitely a white border left if you don't cut close. A little tip: before I printed my image, I did a border around the image of the color of the shirt. That way it wasn't a white border around it. I still cut close, but if I had some border, it was atleast hidden a bit this way |
Question: | can you iron this on to another fabric |
Answer: | You can use them on any color shirt, white included. Just remember they print out on a white background, meaning anything that isn't printed or trimmed will be white on the shirt when ironed. Imagine it's like taking a sticker and putting it on the shirt. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this true white in color |
Answer: | no. you need to apply aplique sheeting to back first. |
Question: | Does it fray |
Answer: | Some buyers charge a TON for these. If they both say 25 sheets, then they are the same item. I usually shop around for the lowest price ($35 is really a good price honestly), since they vary so much. |
Question: | Does the color bleed through |
Answer: | I have not and I don't believe it would be easy to hand embroidery on it. The fabric is too dense for that. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Do you have 9 1/2 by 10 1/2 fabric sheets |
Answer: | I did the soak after printing as the instructions stated and had no problems with the colors bleeding through. I used an epson printer so not sure if the ink from any other company would be different. I had really good luck with this brand and it has held up well in my quilts even through washing. |
Question: | is this iron-on |
Answer: | Yes, it is very sheer. You can see thru it similar to looking thru very light nylon hosiery. |
Question: | Could you please let me know if this will work with a laser jet printer instead of an ink jet?? Thank you |
Answer: | I hated this silk until I tried something new: I iron on the fusible web first, then I used an exacto knife to cut to size. That way it does NOT fray! yay! |
Question: | What is the best photo printer for fabric sheets |
Answer: | I really don't know, but it frays quite a bit when cut. |
