Answer:	Hi there! Blade is stiff as a stone. Unfortunately I dont know what is xacto blade but if you need a flexible one this is not the one for you.

Answer:	Depends on what your carving. The 106 which is the 3'' is perfect for spoons. The extra length is needed to do cuts across the back of the bowl of the spoon. If your unsure of what holds to use when using the knife, I recommend Swedish Carving Techniques, and Spon (by barn the spoon) The smaller 120 my daughter uses but shes 9.

Answer:	The longer blade gives you better leverage and I find the slightly slimmer handle better to work with. I carve ducks and have two of these knives. Well made and keep their sharpness!

Answer:	I have had the knife for over two years and use it frequently. I have never had a need to sharpen it.

The knife is my go-to slicer. It is wonderfully sharp and maintains its edge with only a few touch ups on a steel. I have 10 other Victorinox kitchen knives. To me, for the money, these knives are better than those at twice the cost! I have used German, Japanese, and other famous maker knives. Save your money and buy these!

Question:	How do you use the sharpening compound
Answer:	Everyone is saying it's not too short, and that's probably true. But that doesn't mean it's ideal. I prefer a longer 10 to 12 inch knife for slicing meat that is off the bone, because you can make more full cuts without sawing or removing your knife to allow a second pull stroke. The reality is my Wusthof 8 or 9" kullenschiff's work fine. A non-forged 12 inch forschner works even better, and the cheap Cuisinart electric slicing knife may even be better than those, but it's a PITA to set it up and clean. Personal preference... If you don't plan to use a boning knife or shears, then this is an ok knife for carving a turkey, and at $99, it's a fantastic deal.

Answer:	The set I bought did not come with a case but they are available for sale with one at an additional cost.
Question:	Whats the difference between this (s15) and the deluxe s15x
Answer:	How often it needs sharpening depends entirely upon how often you use the knife, as well as what you are cutting and what you are cutting whatever upon. At the least, it should be correctly touched up with a steel every time it's used. It can be sharpened at home, as long as whomever is sharpening it has the right sharpening stones and has learned to use them correctly. It isn't difficult, and there is plenty of Internet direction available.

Answer:	Oh, I get it! I put my thumb-nail under the front/inside of the little band that holds it in place, lifting it up at the same time that I push the end of the watch band toward the face of the watch with my index finger to take it off. To put it on, I lift the back/outside of the band "holder" with my index finger's nail and push the band through with my thumb. What that does is to move the knob/button on the underside of the small band-holder out of the way so the watch band can travel beneath it. Much better . . . Hope it helps!

Answer:	Yes. When you set up the watch there are settings for weight, length of pool and what arm you are wearing the watch. You can also set for metric/unified. Be sure you know the correct length of pool and if it measured in yards or meters. You can also set your watch to vibrate after so many laps. I set mine for 20 laps. I swim in a 25 yard lap pool. So 20 laps is equal to 500 yards. Usually swim 2,000-2,400 yards. Gives me an idea where I am in my swim and each 500 yards I may incorporate something in the next 500 yards like practicing my glide stroke. When you first get the watch, the battery may not last long. Been sitting in a warehouse for who knows how long.
Question:	Is this knife made by Schrade
Answer:	It is designed to count laps swum in the pool by recognizing the swimming action of your strokes and then counting the pause that happens when you turn at the end of a lap. I think the exercises you are describing would not be recognized by the watch. However, it is water proof and does have a chronograph/stop watch feature, so you could use that to time your activities in the water.
Question:	Is there need to worry about no locking blades
Answer:	If you are looking for a watch that is just for swimming this is good. Yes you can time different strokes and distances but you must go to settings on the watch and switch strokes every time you are switching. For example if you do 5 sets of 100m breast stroke then want to do 5 sets of freestyle you must change to freestyle on watch settings before you start. I recommend getting cable to attach to your computer so you can keep track of all your workouts. I didn't buy the package but wish I had. I had to go and buy it a week later and it cost more.

Answer:	Yes the sheath is too long for this blade: it is a generic sheath that Mora uses and many reviewers point to the sheath as the only weak point about the knife package. It DOES retain even this short knife well enough to carry. AS TO BLADE LENGTH: this is a favorite length and shape for Bushcrafters who are also carvers or who want to skin small game or to serve as a paring knife in camp: check out SWEDWOODS on YouTube for a convincing demonstration of what this knife can do in the hands of an outdoorsman.
Question:	Is the blade angled on both sides, i.e. is the profile symmetric? I'm left handed and I'm looking for something symmetric
Answer:	This is a great knife for whittling. In my opinion it is the best of all of my knives. Some like the Mora 106 as it is a bigger blade. I think the 106 is ok for roughing out your piece but the 120 can handle that and it is small enough to handle most of the detail carving you will likely do. It comes razer sharp and it is easy to keep sharp if you use a leather strop with some compound. The blade is beveled on one side only which is precisely what you need for carving. A double beveled knife, and Mora makes a couple, is not as well suited. I did collect a few scars getting used to using it. Did I say it comes sharp? Buy it and enjoy your carving like never before.

Answer:	The gloves are large and they stretch. I would still purchase the kit and get your son some smaller gloves. Happy carving.
Question:	Can a left hander use the tools comfortably
Answer:	Depends what he's trying to carve. This is a great place to start as a general carving knife. Forks, spoons, handles for various tools can be done with just this knife. Although, when carving spoons, having a curved knife makes the process a lot easier. You can get one for a similar price as this knife. I recommend not getting the double sided blade but one for a righty or lefty. If he is wanting to do more intricate carving like faces for example, he would eventually want more blade varieties. All that said, this knife is a cheap way of finding out if he likes the hobby enough to continue to invest in it. Do him an extra favor and buy him some carving gloves. They're an absolute imperative. Ask any carver how many times they have cut themselves when not taking the extra three seconds to put gloves on when working on a project.
