Answer:	it will drive a 4 inch screw through just about any wood without a predrilled hole, or the screw will snap in half...but this little impact is not meant for working on cars...it just does not have the muscle required and it will get damaged way before it is meant to...can you use it on car repairs?...you can...but it will not break loose lug nuts like you want it to...it will remove a lug nut here and there, but it will not zip them right off like you see a 1/2 inch impact wrench doing when a mechanic is working on a car...if you want the right tool for working on cars, just get a 1/2 inch impact wrench and never look back...dewalt makes a couple types of battery powered 20v models...one that has a huge amount of torque which is probably a bit too much at 1200 foot pounds mode;l 899....this one runs you at least $400 ....I bought the model 889 for about $160 bare tool only ...it has plenty of torque for anything you need to do when repairing a car or changing a tire at a max 400 foot pounds...once i did have to use a breaker bar to remove an extremely overtightened axle nut because i didn't want to overwork the impact iof it wasn't going to remove or even losen the axle nut after 5 seconds...other than that, it has been one of my best investments...and it is very handy having it run on 20v batteries.....well worth the money...buy one
