Answer:	The heat transfer tool is garbage. Every single time I've heated up it wouldn't work. I ended up using a curling iron and a glue gun. I took the glue out and just used the tip.
Question:	I have to mix a custom color, does my mix need to be a little lighter or darker than the leather to match when it cures
Answer:	It tends to dry a bit lighter than the original color or it did on mine. It also will look a bit "shiny" for a couple of days. It took awhile to dry and "cure"... but after several days, it has settled in and looks pretty good. I had a hard time getting it hot enough to seal. It took several times going over it trying to get it to seal well also.

Answer:	They have adhesive in the kit but for minor scuff abrasion type of tears on just the top surface that I had, I did not use it and it seems to have worked very well on my motorcycle backrest. My tear was only 1/8 x 1/2 of the top leather leaving the white under fabric still in tact. Answer:	According to the instructions you need to use alcohol to smooth out the repair. I would think that only alcohol based products would remove the compound. Armoral is more of a finish than a harsh cleaner, I think you’ll be fine.

Application Instructions

Clean all surfaces to be patched thoroughly using a vinyl surface cleaner. Cut the patch larger than the area to be patched. Cut the patch with rounded corners to prevent peeling.

Light gauge vinyl & inflatable pools: Apply the adhesive sparingly to patch, covering it evenly all over.

Heavy gauge vinyl & pool liners: Apply the adhesive liberally to patch, covering it evenly all over.

Out of the water: Apply patch to cover damaged area being sure to press out all air bubbles. If possible, apply weight to the patch and allow 24 hours to reach full bond strength.

Under water: keep patch folded onto itself over the area to be repaired, then unfold patch and apply immediately. Carefully press out all air bubbles. If possible, apply weight to the patch and allow 24 hours to reach full bond strength.

Tip: If your damaged area is on a seam, add an additional bead of glue to the seam before applying the patch.

Answer:	I am not sure. I will cover a damaged area to help hold it together but if the window frame you are talking about is so old that it is cracking it might just buy you time. The tape is clear so if there are any gaps in the frame this will not fill them in. I hope this helps you.

Answer:	I used the type B to repair my vinyl canopy cover. I have also used it to repair a tarp which I believe is made of poly. I don't recall what the type A product is used to repair and suggest investigating what it is used for first. It may be made for repairing poly.

Answer:	It would be a short term fix. Better than duck tape but not attractive long term.

Answer:	It worked fine on my tear. I did not follow the instructions very well so my job didn't look that good. Not sure about the seam.

Answer:	I no longer have the fabric to measure, but I'd say it's roughly 2 inches square. Maybe 2.5.

Answer:	It does work for small tears. If there is exposed cushioning under the leather & none of the cushion material is missing, it was easy for me. I checked the instructions, it didn't take me long to patch up the tear in my seat. Make sure after applying the compound, let it dry. I did have to apply 2 more to fill in the tear. Be sure to wipe away the excess glue.
Question:	how do you color it
Answer:	It comes with pigments you can mix in. I repaired a black vinyl seat in my Kawasaki Teryx4, so it was easy. Other colors might take some trial and error to match perfectly. It will make a decent repair but don't set your expectations that it will be as good as new. You will always be able to see some evidence of the repair. Good luck!

Answer:	Not sure how it will work on leather but I bought the Black Leather and Vinyl Repair kit and it worked exceptionally well on my faux leather recliner. Answer:	I used it in a harley seat with a couple cracks which worked fine, if the area on the jacket is very visible careful applying as this is not the kind with the texture sheets and it dries pretty dark shiny, not matt and dull like the jacket ...it only comes with just a brush to apply.

Question:	How do you remove the product if it's the wrong color
Answer:	I used a leather cleaning wipe as soon as I saw it wasn’t a match, and before it really dried. It removed pretty much all and what little remained was covered by my next try at color matching. An earlier attempt that was already dry came off with a little pressure and rubbing alcohol but I tested in a hidden area first to be sure the alcohol didn’t damage the leather. I wiped with water immediately. It kind of rolls off once you use the alcohol so I gently scraped the leather to remove the rest. Color matching was tricky. It took several tries adding different colors together to get what matched the best. Try it first on an area that can’t be seen and let it dry to avoid having to remove it many times from a noticeable area.

1.Squeeze the filler in the nick.

2.Smooth with tail scraper.

3.Wipe off excess filler and let them dry.

Answer:	Retail kits only come with 3" wide pieces. We can custom cut 3" wide pieces of varying length that you can overlap - not available through Amazon at this time. 6" wide rolls are made by the manufacturer; however, we do not stock these unless you'd like to special order an entire 30' roll. Question:	the tear I have in my car seat is very small (2-3 mm).. do I have to use the backing fabric
Answer:	I had two places that I repaired. Neither spot required that I use the backing fabric because the color adhesive covered the area well, and it would have been hard to put the backing inside the hole.
Question:	what colors does it work on
Answer:	It will work on what ever color you have. You will receive little tubs of different colors and an empty cup to mix the colors to match your leather. The instructions tell you what colors to mix together to achieve a new color. You will have to play around mixing to achieve a match. Go slow and add very small amounts of color at a time. Be sure to allow the new color to dry before using. It will dry a bit darker than when it is wet.
