Answer:	I always separate the two parts and wash them by hand immediately after using and let them dry apart in the drying rack. Only takes a second. I do the same with all of my good knives. I have had some of them for 45 years and they are as good as new. Can't imaging why someone would want to let something so wonderful sit dirty in a dishwasher when it is so simple to wash in a second.

Answer:	These excellent scissors are 9" long from tip of blade to the grips. The grip part interior is 2.75". If I measure one of the blades while held open by my man hand, 3" of blade is available. I recommend these scissors! Only cavet: separate and dry these scissors regularly.

Answer:	This is a fantastic pair of scissors, however, I am forced to admit, I should have gotten the 8 inch size:-( I have since purchased the Kai V5210 8inch, and the Kai 3210 8 1/4inch serrated blade patchwork and they are perfect. I am 5 foot but I actually have large hands but I do find the 8 inch scissors fit me perfectly and Kai is the best pair of scissors I have ever used.

Answer:	Don't have any experience with the serrated but my straight edge are working great in an industrial application. Cutting heavy canvas almost daily with great results. It’s a plus that the scissors easily come apart for sharpening. In general straight edge are much easier to sharpen than serrated.

Answer:	If you are asking how does KAI differ from other shears... KAI is top of the line. Ergonomic type grip, smooth easy and very sharp, clean cut. It glides through fabric! I have 4 pair... small , 8 " ,10 " and pinking. Never use anything else now, not even Ghinger.
Question:	Do the slim line shears cut as many layers as the regular shears
Answer:	I do not know how many layers the regular shears cut but these are heavy duty and i have not had any problem with anything I have tried cutting no matter the layers.

Answer:	The 7250 is bulkier and better suited for thicker stuff. The Slim Line has thinner blades and is lighter. The blade on the slimline is actually bit longer, but remember the 10" refers to over all length of the shear.
