Answer:	Overall is appr. 5.75" Be aware that there is a shank of approx. 31/32" so that must be deducted from the usable length.

Answer:	I have only used these on poplar, DF, walnut, and maple. They worked fine for me. For the extreme hardwoods, you may need to step it up.

Answer:	They’re all smooth shaft up thru 3/8”. Then 3/8” chuck after that. They’re nice bits. I’m building a wooden clock and they are working great.

Answer:	I've chucked up 9 of the 29 bits so far in my drill press. They've ranged from 1/16 all the way up to 1/2. All of these have been spot on straight. That is, the point when spinning remains a point and does not travel in a circular pattern. I would buy them again from what I've seen in my 31% test sample.

Answer:	I have never tried to cut a soft material. I usually cut things like tape, paper, and very thin plastic. The way this thing works is that there is a small spring-loaded blade that rides over the material. You can adjust the depth of the cut, but I don’t know if it would drag on a soft material such as felt.

Question:	Has anyone tried cutting thin veneers with this? how clean is the hole it makes? rough edges or smooth? what about the cutout piece? is it smooth
Answer:	I would say yes, I just cut a 20mm dia circle in some old, brittle 1/6” maple veneer and after a couple trials got a nice clean circle on ID and OD.
Question:	will it cut mdf board 1/8" thick
Answer:	It will not cut MDF, even 1/16" thick because the blade is not designed for hard materials, it works perfectly on paper, poster sheets and very soft thin woods like balsa wood.
Question:	Will this cut through 3/8 in. foam board
Answer:	Yes it will cut through 3/8" foam board but you will want to do several passes rather than try to cut it through all at once.
Question:	Hi trying to cut smaller consistent circles about 2" . Not having much success. using ruler underneath as vague directions suggest. any tips? thanks
Answer:	Consider this:1.- The blade must be very sharp and well installed2.- The material you're cutting3.- You need a cutting base, maybe MDF, and drill a hole (same diameter of the cutter center axis)4.- Do not try to cut in only one pass, try a very soft pass and then increase the pressure.

Question:	Will this work on the front of a greeting card? 3" Fiskars cuts beautiful circles but they are very near the edge. Help
Answer:	It will cut card stock, that is what I was cutting when I cut my circles. They turned out great. I would guess it would cut 500, don't know for sure though.
Question:	How do you use the circle cutter
Answer:	Yes, it will cut through, as long as you take into account: 1) You have to have the hand strength to compress the punch to cut through a thicker material. If you can't squeeze the punch hard enough, the blades can't do the work. 2) The blades will be initially sharp enough, but will dull a tiny bit with each use. To sharpen the blades, cut through a very fine sandpaper a few times. You will feel the difference. 3) If the contact paper has a sticky adhesive, it will get on the blades and you will need to stop and clean them. You could try one of the label removing solvents, like Glue Gone, on a cotton ball or rag.
Question:	Will this punch a single laminated sheet of copy paper
Answer:	The 1.25 circle punch punches 3/4 of an inch from the edge of the paper.
Question:	can this be used to cut felt circles
Answer:	Yes, you will. You will just have to turn the punch upside down to view them. The design of these punches makes it very easy to do.
