Answer:	No, this is a loupe for inspection of watches or electronic circuits. The focus has to be adjusted by distance between the object seen and the loupe.
Question:	Focal length seems short. What loupe will allow a focal length of perhaps 4 inches or thereabouts? I want it for soldering
Answer:	This is for inspection, you wont find one for soldering that is worth while. I have this and it works for inspection. It is best to have both your hands free. "electronicsNmore" on youtube just did a video about a head set with light that looks pretty good. Otherwise AM Scope SE400 is what plenty of people recommended. Question:	Is the cse metal on the 20X
Answer:	I have the double multiple magnifier and the exterior shell is aluminum (?) and the interior unit is plastic.There are two lenses and two sets of lights. I find it very useful. I have an older unit with a single lens like the you illustrate but without any ID on the exterior. It is all metal and rather heavy but also quite good. Would rec either.

Answer:	one is 30x magnification the other 60x it has 2 leds for each side

Answer:	Yes but even the 30x lower power lens requires very close approach to the print and you would likely be scanning line by line. I would suggest you find something in the 10 to 15 magnifying range if you don't want to be moving it around constantly. These lenses are relatively small for critical observation. My two cents but I use microscopes daily and use about a 5x for home reading as I'm 60. Hopefully this helps.
Question:	Is it good enough to see trichomes on plants
Answer:	Yeah, it's tedious though. The lens view is inverted; so left is right, and up is down. 30x can show clarity of trikes, as well as 60x, just a pain to navigate. I would of purchased a different one if I was to do it again.

Answer:	Press down gently on the light switch and rotate 30 degrees anti-clockwise. The cap will come off easily when you lift. Note the orientation of the three batteries before removing them. Remove the old batteries and insert new in the proper orientation. Replace the cap by gently pressing and rotating 30 degrees clockwise. Would send copy of the manual, but my scanner is behaving badly.

They are comfortable and stay in place. The loupes are easy to change in and out of the eye pieces and they are secure. I love the LED lights which you can position them for the best viewing.

Why the people complaining about having to be too close to the object?

That's how optics work. Hold a magnifying glass 1/2 inch from your eye, and then 12 inches from a piece of paper, now try 6 inches. Doesn't work right? Well these are basically tiny magnifying glasses. The focal lengths between the object, the loop, and your eye all need to be in the sweet spot to work. It's not a manufacturing defect and it's not fair to ding this product because you don't understand physics. If you're still confused, by ANY eye loupe from ANY company and they all work the same, or lookup "how an eye loupe works".

Single Eye Observation Only

Highly recommend to use a single eye to view object only because focus will fail when using both eyes lenses at the same time.

Not recommend for close up work

• The focus distance varies from 0.5 INCH for 25X LENS to 1.5 INCHES for 10X LENS.

Answer:	There's just a single lens that you look through.
Question:	In removing splinters, need to keep focus on target & still be far enough away to get tweezers between lens and hand. Do you think this will work
Answer:	As long as they're normal tweezers, then yes. I just tried it, held loupe between thumb & forefinger of left hand, focused on end of left index finger - and I could stick my right pinky in between loupe and skin of index finger, plus maybe 50% more room.

Answer:	Yes, the lens is glass, or at least was when I purchased mine several years ago. I find no issues of it blurring around the edges. I have been very happy with the purchase. Hope this helps you.

Often from a home site you can punch in "returns" and up will come the guidelines for returns specific to that company.
