Answer:	Yes you can open and close jump rings with the pliers. You can reshape some jump rings with the round nose pliers also.

Answer:	The handles fit perfectly in my hands...so I would say like 3 inches. They work, but I had to get a bigger pair for squeezing the rings back shut, the on in this set just doesn't work FOR ME. If you have small hands, they might work better for you, but if you have large hands I would suggest a larger set.

Answer:	Hi! Yes, it works with 18 gauge.....I use 22 for most of my projects and am very happy but, have used it for for different gauges.

Answer:	the tool is FLAT on the inside and is covered by rubber tubing. when using this tool i find that as you crimp down, moving it a few centimeters at a time works best. if making multiple loops, position your wire to begin at the base of the desired loop working outward towards the smaller loops.
