Answer:	It's as easy as the instructions on the bottles...mix equal parts of the putty together, just like Play-Doh, and until you see that the two have no more streaks but it is one color. Then simply apply it and press the mixed putty on to your mold. In a matter of a few minutes you have your reusable mold hardened! Question:	If you can use this for food, what is the highest temperature
Answer:	I have never used it for food but I have made charms with a high heat glue gun and they have survived. The highest I have baked anything in it has been 275 degrees. I don't know if boiled sugar or syrup will be too hot.

Answer:	Yes it is, I believe it is a silicone. I've made lollipop molds and had no trouble bending them to retrieve the lollipop.

Answer:	I am not sure exactly what you mean by "reusable" so I am answering this two ways. You can use a mold you make over and over again, I have not had one wear out yet. You cannot create another mold from one that you already made since the product hardens to form the shape you are wanting to duplicate. So once you create a mold it is not changing in my experience.It's a wonderful product and I use it quite often. You won't go wrong.

Answer:	It's been several months since I've used it but it seems like it was about as pliable as playdough (sp?).

Answer:	Use some type of mold release. I use petroleum jelly thinned down to a liquid with paint thinner. Paint on with small paint brush. When it dries, there will be thin film of the vaseline which will allow casting to be removed from mold.

1. Before making: Please keep the inside of the resin silicone mold smooth, clean and dry before use.

2. In making:

 ① AB glue must be used in strict proportion, otherwise it may be difficult to solidify and demould, or the mold will be damaged seriously.

Question:	What is the ratio for the two parts ?, the white and the catalyst ,do i use less of the catalyst? Or even ?, could u give me an example
Answer:	this is a 10 to 1 mix ratio by weight. for example if you need a 50 gram mold made you would mix 50 grams of base to 5 grams of activator. you always want to mix a little more than needed due to losses in and on the sides of the mixing container.
Question:	Will this stain or discolor raw wood
Answer:	No, but will get down into the pores and will troublesome to remove the rubber from the wood. If the wood was treated and smoothed out, it will go well. Wood like driftwood with lots of pores and bores will most likely absorb the silicone in places that will prove to be harder to remove. You can use a knife but you'll have silicone buried in those pores making the wood looked like a 5 year old smeared green playdough all over it.
Question:	I ran out of material 1/2 way through making a mold. Can I come back 2 days later and add more
Answer:	yes this rtv silicone mold rubber will adhere perfectly to itself.
Question:	I want to make a silicone cup that is flexible, is this stuff capable
Answer:	This stuff would work with the right mold, however, I'm not sure it's really food safe. That's mighty important if you're ever going to use it to drink with. I was using it for Jewelry stuff so I didn't need to worry about that part. There's a lot of silicone cups that hikers use. I'd search that out if you only want to make for you. if you're wanting to go into production, contact the company itself. That's the only safe way. Good luck whichever way to go.

Question:	How many ounces is each bottle
Answer:	It is sold and labeled in Lbs.Part A is 1.2lbs and Part B is 1.6lbs and I can't find any label that provides info regarding ounces. The dimensions are almost the same size as a 16 oz bottle so it's close to 16oz per bottle but that it an estimate. Sorry I can't provide more info.
Question:	Is it enough liquid to make a 12" vinyl record mold
Answer:	Probably two orders of this would do that. Depends how thick you want your mold. When making molds always get more than you think you need. If you're pouring the mold and you run out then the mold is incomplete and useless. I don't know where you live but ordering directly from smoothon is usually faster. They have facilities in Texas and Pennsylvania. You can't beat their products.
Question:	is this heat resistant
Answer:	Not positive but aren't all silicones heat resistant. Great product.
Question:	How large of a mold will this usually make? One large one? a few small ones? or is there a specified size reccommended
Answer:	I molded an object with a volume of 37 ounces but it took a set and 1/4 of another set of these bottles. Safe bet that if you have a model with a displacement greater than the one I did, you need two sets. Some find the simplest way is to pour rice around your model then pour the rice into measuring cups to get a better idea of how much. The hollow mold that I made was about 11.5 inches high and 4 inches in diameter with a width of 1 inch on the sides and bottom of the mold. So.. to encapsulate a volume of 37 ounces with enough material so that the mold was free standing it was a set and 1/4 of silicone at the least. My mold did not have a top though, with a top, it would have been a set and a half, no question about it.

Question:	I have never used molds. How do I get the bubbles out? I now use a torch or a heat gun
Answer:	I recommend lightly spaying mold release in the molds and shake dry. Bubbles can be an issue at times. I mix gently the resin and catalyst with a popsicle stick to try to avoid bubbles. I haven’t tried the heat aspect yet, but i might try it next time I cast something. Hope this helps!
Question:	can i put these in a pressure pot
Answer:	I think the person is asking whether they can be put in an epoxy curing pressure pot, not a pressure cooker. Two different things. Epoxy curing pots aren't heated up. (BTW, avoid using a *vacuum* pot, that results in a foamy mess.) An epoxy pressure pot compresses all gases in the epoxy to below visible size. Yes, silicone molds will withstand typical epoxy pressure pots pressure of 50-70 psi with no problem.

WARM TIPS FOR SILICONE RESIN MOLDS:



1.Make sure your casting molds are smooth and clean before use.



2.When you release the item out of the resin mold, please make sure your resin piece is completely cured or you will get a defective one.



3.When you de-mold, you can use a resin release spray and let it dry in the silicone mold, which may help extend your molds’ life. If you don't have, you may use a baby wipe or a drop of soap water as a release agent, work it down to the silicone resin mold, then push the project from the bottom.
