Answer:	Hello. From researching the part number, this bypass installs the same as the water filter. Open the door and swing the filter to the right until it stops. The filter will not release until it is in this position and simply pull the old cartridge out without twisting it. Align the top of thebypass in the holder. Firmly push the bypass in until it engages to insure it is properly seated. Again being careful not to twist. Swing the bypass back into place and close the filter door. If your bypass does not swing into place for the door to close, make sure that it has been aligned and engaged properly. Answer:	These filters need a special filter connector at each end that are to be connected to 1/4" tubing (copper or nylon). The filter connectors do not come with the 3-pack filters. You need to buy a filter that comes with the connectors. Once you install the connectors onto your 1/4" tubing, then you can purchase the 3-pack filter set. Each filter connectors has a small push-button release which allows you to disconnect the filter. However when installing a new replacement filter you need only to push them into the connectors. This style filter is an older design made for inline applications. The newer designs use a twist-on/twist-off method... so much easier, but the filters are more expensive. I use these filters for my humidifier water feed line. I go through 3 or 4 filters each year. These filters help reduce scale and mineral deposit build-up on my humidifier pads. I am thinking about replacing these type of filters with the newer twist-on/twist-off design.
