Answer:	This DOES need hard wiring. It also needs a cord wired to it. The toggle switches kept burning out, so we re-wired with a 30-amp switch and it seems to be working very well so far! Hope that helps!

Answer:	This will destroy the machine as the syrup is high in sugar it would coat the blades making them dull and slightly bending. The sugar would also dry to a sticky mess to the internals of the machine

EVERYONE WILL KNOW YOUR USING IT. It's great to make a few at a time but not for a business. You can take it anywhere and plug it in and your ready! Hands down the best home unit you can buy. Answer:	We typically just use the standard snow cone "cones"; however, the shaved ice does escape around it. Like others that have already answered your question the best size is a larger cup (also makes almost no mess at all when making them). Answer:	Warranty is useless. 2 days before our 1 year warranty was up our ice maker stopped working. The company had us send it in and they had the unit for 2 months to fix it. Answer:	I have an original opal and I bought the add on 2nd water tank and it works great. I would suggest using bottled water, if you have a lot of minerals in your water, otherwise you will be cleaning it often.

Answer:	If you have hard water in your area (ours is some of the worst in the country) by all means use filtered water or the parts will be caked with particulates after a few hours of use (my "so smart" son-in-law used tap water; it stopped working after about 8 months and the ice tasted like chalk.
Question:	It looks like it has some sort of drawer on the bottom front. Is it to pull out ice as well
Answer:	We have not seen any mold... We use it everyday so that may be why, but we turn it off when my son sleeps... I would think you could add some vinegar to the water and let it run a couple of cycles and then drain it (there is a drain plug), add more water and run a cycle or 2 to clear the vinegar... the cycles do not take long so this would take less than an hour to do. Although the smell of vinegar may linger a little.
Question:	Can you wait until the bucket is full before you empty it
Answer:	I also had ice that started to taste bad after a few months. I cleaned it and it was fine. First I rinsed with water and drained it through the plug. I noticed some particulate in the water as it drained so I keep flushing it until it was clear. Then I put in a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar (a cup or so) and ran it for a few batches, then rinsed and drained and ran it again with fresh water. Zero bad taste.

Answer:	There are only 2 sizes and both are still fairly small. The biggest is about 1” tall by 3/4” round.
Question:	Is the ice tray freezer safe
Answer:	There is no drawer. The only way to access the ice is through the lid on the top. This is the case with every portable ice maker I have seen. I love this ice maker!
Question:	Will the ice stay frozen over longer periods of time (like several days) if left in the bin while the machine remains turned on
Answer:	Yes but it has hard time Filling up because it’s sensitive one little ice cube get stuck on the drop off Tray and he thinks the bucket is full Kinda have to monitor it to make sure it’s filling up or the ice will melt and start all over not sure what the issue is but I’m hoping for a replacement product or a refund
