Answer:	Hi John, I am not sure at what heat it will turn on however it does have a thermostat which will turn on the fan or increase the fan speed from low to high when excessive heat is detected. I think it may be best to contact the manufacturer to ask what temperature threshold it is configured to turn on. I was able to find more information on the HEAT SENTRY system at Broan's Website in the instructions manual on page 3. Answer:	no the "gate" only opens when in use. the wind cannot open it, unless you have 100+ mph winds.

Answer:	Yes, it's the best 1 I have found for hood venting, it has a dam per door built in to keep air from entering from outside also. I use them on all my roof venting jobs.
Question:	The lights have started to blink when they are on for over 1 minute. Has anyone else had this issue? I can't figure out how to remove them
Answer:	It depends on whether there is a flat spot wide enough for it to fit between the ridges in the steel. You need a gap of 12 to 14 inches that it can fit in. If it fits it can be screwed directly into the steel and then seal with roofing cement.

Answer:	Not sure what “multiplayer” is. It has 2 removable stainless steel filters that come out and clean up easily. There is no other media involved.

Answer:	How often do I need to wash the filter panel? Looks like only after 1 week , oil start to drip, even from the switch buttons, such a poor design. One of my previous ranghood only requires filter wash every once a month or so.

Answer:	Yes, the same thing happened to me. I called the company and they sent a new LED controller right out free of charge. Wasn't too tough to replace it and now it works perfectly. Good luck!

Question:	Can I use a 90 degree elbow to vent behind the mounting wall
Answer:	To qualify my experience with the range hood, I do not use this with a recirculating kit but I do not think recirculating or not makes any difference with the liner. The liner gives a cut out mount for the range hood. I cut the hole in the cabinet myself and did not use a liner. Some one may comment that the metal liner gives protection for flammables above the cooking surface by covering them and and additional distance from the cooking surface. If I remember correctly, the installation instructions say that min distance for flammables is 24 inches and that should be enough with or without the liner. Good luck with the range hood. I really like ours.

Answer:	Yes, we used ours in a custom made cabinet. We just sent it directly to the cabinet maker.

Answer:	This was a replacement for an exiting Kenmore hood exhaust unit. We had to do many modifications to make it fit the old location. Therefore, I can't answer your question. I can say it is a very powerful exhaust fan unit.

Answer:	Price? Maybe on Ebay for a unit that has been returned or that has cosmetic defects. Features? Two motors; moves a lot of air; seems solidly built. But: It is heavy; 8-inch exhaust needs a lot of space in any soffit you build to carry the vent pipe; choices are limited for 8 inch vent covers for exterior walls or roofs; the mounting features built into the unit are elementary, and mounting instructions are nonexistent. In my case i will have to construct a template for the location of the mounting holes, use the template to drill holes in my cabinet, get long screws to mount the unit from the exterior of the cabinet, and then hide the screw heads. An alternative if you have an oversized cabinet may be to lift the unit into position and construct and install cleats for the inside of the cabinet after placing the unit in position, and then somehow attach the metal angle braces to the cleats. Best if you can actually build your cabinet after receiving the unit, so that the front of the cabinet can be removed or opened to allow you to slide the unit into position. I think these problems likely apply to any hood insert that is not designed for a specific hood cabinet.

Question:	Does this require a liner to install? What is the model number of the liner
Answer:	Nothing will take all the smell out. nBut this one on high will take ALL the smoke out and lift the spoons off the counter.
