Answer:	Yes, the recommended diameter of the ducting is 7 inches from the hood unit all the way to the roof. If a narrower diameter duct is inserted along the way to the roof you will create a funnel that will reduce the airflow.
Question:	Is the motor for this item built inside it? Or does it need to be installed outside the house? If outside, how long is the hose
Answer:	The motor is inside the hood. Our hoods don't come with hoses or ducting at all. You will need to acquire the ducting from a home improvement store or through your builder or contractor. Answer:	This fan allows cooking fumes to pass through a grease filter and a thin replaceable activated charcoal filter. It cannot absorb large amounts of cooking odors or smoke. You need a fan that is ducted to the outside to effectively remove cooking odors and smoke.

Answer:	That's correct. The air flows through the filter on the underside and out through the three columns of vent slats you see on the front of the range hood. There is no connection to other vents or ducts in a wall or through the roof.
Question:	I will be plugging the rangehood into the wall, will I need a power cord kit
Answer:	I'm not sure what your setup is, but when I did mine, I hardwired the hood into the existing black and white wires that were used in the old hood. Chances are that if you don't have the pre wired design that I had, you will need a power cord kit if you plan to physically plug the unit into a traditional wall socket.
