Answer:	That's correct. The air flows through the filter on the underside and out through the three columns of vent slats you see on the front of the range hood. There is no connection to other vents or ducts in a wall or through the roof.

Answer:	I'm not sure what your setup is, but when I did mine, I hardwired the hood into the existing black and white wires that were used in the old hood. Chances are that if you don't have the pre wired design that I had, you will need a power cord kit if you plan to physically plug the unit into a traditional wall socket.

Where one "sone" is 40 decibels, QuietMode is claimed to have 1.0 sones, Low 3.0 sones and High 5.0 sones. The manual claims that QuietMode at 1.0 sones (or 40 decibels) is equivalent to the sound of a refrigerator. Either I have a very quiet refrigerator or the QuietMode on my hood is louder than it is supposed to be. Other than that I am pleased with its looks and function.

Answer:	Yes. It has a 10 inch x 3 inch(not sure if those are exact measurements) vent that comes out the back. The contractor vented ours that way which allowed the entire vent to be hidden in the wall.

Answer:	I measure 29 and 7/8ths to 29 15/16th. We're in the range that the accuracy or consistency of tape measures is critical variable.If you took a standard 30" hood out you should be just fine. Even so nearly everything should fit in standard openings. With these sizes you're talking about, a lot depends on the "squareness" of the hole because you don't have a lot of clearance to work with.I'd say to go ahead and order--the odds are way in your favor--and you can always return it--just fit it in before doing all the other installation things.Glad to help.

Remember you will empty your tanks every few days depending on the size of your tank. I always flush my tank with fresh water when I empty black water tank, and then refill it with about 5 or 6 gallons of fresh water and add another Porta-Pak tablet. You never want your black water tank to dry out because there will always be some waste left in the tank. By adding a little water and another tablet this should dissolve any remaining paper and other solid waste and avoid having a stinking mess.

Answer:	I know this won't help the original asker but I wanted to warn anyone else asking this question to first look at the original fan motor before ordering it. The part number is on a sticker on the side of it - I know it's a pain to pull the whole thing apart but totally worth it as you won't have to deal with ordering the incorrect part. We looked up the part number using the oven model # and came up with the number EAU61865301 (the one that "Manufacturer" answered on May 18, 2020). That part is not the same part as what is actually in our oven - we purchased that part from another website so I am assuming that it's an issue with what LG has reported this part # to be. The original part # in our LG LRE3083ST is EAU61865302 which I have just ordered from this vendor moments ago.
