Answer:	I'm not sure what your setup is, but when I did mine, I hardwired the hood into the existing black and white wires that were used in the old hood. Answer:	I measure 29 and 7/8ths to 29 15/16th. We're in the range that the accuracy or consistency of tape measures is critical variable.If you took a standard 30" hood out you should be just fine. Even so nearly everything should fit in standard openings. With these sizes you're talking about, a lot depends on the "squareness" of the hole because you don't have a lot of clearance to work with.I'd say to go ahead and order--the odds are way in your favor--and you can always return it--just fit it in before doing all the other installation things.Glad to help.

Answer:	It is hard wired in. You need to run Romex out through a hole in your drywall 3/4" to the right of the ducting. It's explained in detail in the installation instruction.
Question:	I just purchased this hood. Are there any other parts that are required to install it fully
Answer:	Electric wiring with connectors, electric tape. If venting out, vent pipes of the correct size, duct tape, self-tapping metal screws to attach to the hood. Size is in the dimensions that come with the hood. Ducting depends on where it is going, but there are examples of what is correct. Light bulb is usually not included, be sure not to get a hot type or above the rating for your hood. 4 x mounting screws for mounting the hood under the cabinet, larger flat head type with a good thread that won't pierce through the bottom of the cabinet mounting surface, but have a head large enough to hold the hood in place. It has larger round holes with smaller slots so you can get the hood on and off without unscrewing them all the way. If you have to cut for the vent, you will need a hole saw or jigsaw, drill a hole to get the blade started and try not to cut larger than required for venting. Secure the pipes with a simple strap. Remember that the grease screen only catches a portion of the grease, so you will need to be able to access the pipes in the future for cleaning. Do not share the output with any other flammable chimney space like a wood or gas burning chimney. The ducts should be self-contained and accessible. If you are just circulating the air from this hood like a fan, you should be prepared to clean the grease trap screen and hood often with TSP or some other grease cutting cleaner on a regular basis. The shorter the distance to the outside, the easier it will be to keep clean. Follow the wiring guide and make sure things are properly grounded and connected safely. If you don't feel comfortable with it, don't do it.

Answer:	The replacement light cover I received looks exactly like this and is 4.5 L x 3"W. My Kenmore hood (equivalent to Whirlpool) is 24 1/2 " on front edge & 30" at top edge where it slides into cabinet over a 30" range. The light cover was a perfect for my hood. I would think if the two slots on your hood where the tabs fit in are 3" apart, the cover should fit as the ends with the small tabs are slightly flexible. Also, covers are sized to fit over a standard size light bulb for hoods. Hope this helps.

Question:	is this the plug in one
Answer:	NO it is not a plug in hood range. It is a hard wire, easy to install. Hot power wire black connects to black wire on hood and same with white, ground copper wire attaches to screw.Turn off breaker to your plug and wire it up yourself. Takes few minutes.......great hood vent for the money
Question:	Is the length 30 or
Answer:	This is a 40000-series range hood. The model number gives information about the length and color. '40' is the series; '36' is the length; and '04' is our number for stainless steel. This is a 36" length range hood.
Question:	how to change light
Answer:	This unit has a plastic lens cover that simply snaps into the range hood. Carefully remove the lens. Change the bulb. IF you have additional questions, call our Technical Support Department at 800-637-1453. Thank you.
Question:	Can tech support ship a transition piece for right sided duct possible smaller than 3.25 X 10 for existing duct works in wall with an order

Question:	How well does this unit absorb grease
Answer:	This unit is ductless, so it is not vented to the outside. As such, it is not designed to remove grease. The charcoal filter that is used to absorb orders will collect grease. If you do a lot of cooking that generates a lot of grease, the charcoal filter will need to be changed more often.
Question:	Does it attach only at the top? We only have an open valance over the stove. Can it be attached by the sides/back
Answer:	We have a shelf over our range so we were able to attach it through the holes in the top,but it also has four holes in the back so it can be attached to the wall.
Question:	Are the sides of the unit finished if there are no cabinets on the sides
Answer:	The 413623 does have finished sides.
Question:	is this thing "45 inches like the specs say it is, or is it a 42" hood
Answer:	It's 42", the box and packing maybe 45", but hood itself is 42".

Answer:	Our Range Hoods are not tested and rated in decibels, only in Sones. The sound of a BCDF130SS at 1.2 Sones would sound similar to that of a running refrigerator.
Question:	Will the outlet air blow against my cabinets
Answer:	It it is installed as a non-ducted hood, then yes. If it is installed as a ducted hood, then no.
Question:	I see lot of reviews complaining they received the item dented or with some scratches ? Are these cheaply made or it’s the poor packaging problem
Answer:	I have owned this item for one year. I ordered this on line. It was delivered and was in excellent condition. The packaging and the contents were in good order. I am happy I ordered this unit. It has been and excellent addition to my kitchen.
Question:	How efficient is this unit when installed non-ducted? please compare with other broan models like qp230ss, qml30ss and qs330ss
Answer:	Seems great so far, ours is only a week old now, you will need the charcoal filters not included

Answer:	Cannot send dimensions. It did fit mine. Presumed cover size was standard. Take a leap of faith.

Answer:	I replaced it at a rental home, don't have exact size but I think it's 10x3". I ordered it base on advertiser photos and packaging measurement. If your piece look similar and it's 10x3 it likely will fit.
