Answer:	It is hard wired in. You need to run Romex out through a hole in your drywall 3/4" to the right of the ducting. It's explained in detail in the installation instruction.
Question:	I just purchased this hood. Are there any other parts that are required to install it fully
Answer:	Electric wiring with connectors, electric tape. If venting out, vent pipes of the correct size, duct tape, self-tapping metal screws to attach to the hood. Size is in the dimensions that come with the hood. Ducting depends on where it is going, but there are examples of what is correct. Light bulb is usually not included, be sure not to get a hot type or above the rating for your hood. 4 x mounting screws for mounting the hood under the cabinet, larger flat head type with a good thread that won't pierce through the bottom of the cabinet mounting surface, but have a head large enough to hold the hood in place. It has larger round holes with smaller slots so you can get the hood on and off without unscrewing them all the way. If you have to cut for the vent, you will need a hole saw or jigsaw, drill a hole to get the blade started and try not to cut larger than required for venting. Secure the pipes with a simple strap. Remember that the grease screen only catches a portion of the grease, so you will need to be able to access the pipes in the future for cleaning. Do not share the output with any other flammable chimney space like a wood or gas burning chimney. The ducts should be self-contained and accessible. If you are just circulating the air from this hood like a fan, you should be prepared to clean the grease trap screen and hood often with TSP or some other grease cutting cleaner on a regular basis. The shorter the distance to the outside, the easier it will be to keep clean. Follow the wiring guide and make sure things are properly grounded and connected safely. If you don't feel comfortable with it, don't do it.

Open the unit by removing the two mesh filters and locate the switch in the middle of the fan unit. Remove the screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

Change Switch Position

Change the switch position to the ductless position which allows the exhaust to flow out of the front vent. Replace screw with Phillips screwdriver.

Add Charcoal Filter (Part # CFK4)

For this step, you will need Part # CFK4 Carbon Filter Kit, sold separately. Place the charcoal filter on top of the middle piece and screw into place. Replace mesh filters and your range hood is now ductless!

Answer:	It has to be vented but is worh it. Super quiet but powerful fan and light is just what you need.
Question:	If used in the vent-less mode, where does the recirculated air come out? Does it blow it out the front (like at your face
Answer:	It does blow out the front in a non-duct installation.
Question:	At what temp is the excessive heat that the fan will start by itself
Answer:	Hi John, I am not sure at what heat it will turn on however it does have a thermostat which will turn on the fan or increase the fan speed from low to high when excessive heat is detected. I think it may be best to contact the manufacturer to ask what temperature threshold it is configured to turn on. I was able to find more information on the HEAT SENTRY system at Broan's Website in the instructions manual on page 3.
