Answer:	I never put it in between my strings. I just set it between the edge of the hole and either of the E strings. It's a perfect fit and much easier.

Answer:	If the sound hole is 2 1/2" inches wide it should fit. You just press it down into the sound hole between two strings. It's not much more than a half inch wide. The tension created by separating the strings holds it in place.

Answer:	Haven't measured humidity, but my Martin Smith guitar requires 2 soaked devices and at least 24 hours, once fret buzz shows up. Once the buzz be gone, I can get by with one.

Answer:	Our winters here are also extremely dry. I use these Planet Waves humidifiers on all my guitars and ukuleles and they work beautifully. I check the units twice a week and rehydrate as necessary. I find that they work well in the summer, too. The "sponges" absorb excess moisture when the humidity is high in the summer here.

Question:	How often do I have to soak the sponge? How do you know if it needs more water
Answer:	The difference is the size. These are big 60 gram packs VS the 8 gram small packs you're referring to. If you're using them inside a guitar case these are the ones you want. The 8 grams will deplete way too quick. However, other than being 7.5 times larger there is no difference.
Question:	What all is exactly included
Answer:	Did you follow the directions? You're supposed to wet the "sponge" and place it inside the sound hole. The uke will absorb the moisture as it needs it. Check the "sponge" every few days and re-wet as necesary.

Answer:	Only when setting up multiple sensors - you need to add the second (third, fourth or more) sensor from a location at least 10 feet away from a working sensor. But since it's really just pairing a tiny device with the app on your phone, you aren't restricted on where you do it! Go to the other side of the house. Or go outside. Or to the library!

Question:	Does this come with the humidifying packs
Answer:	Yes, the humidifying packs are pictured on the box. Two fabric holders are sent to suspend the packs inside your guitar. Of course, you must keep your guitar in a relatively air-tight case for the system to work. The packs are designed to keep the relative humidity between the recommended 45 to 55 percent. I use a room humidity gauge to determine whether the packs are needed.
Question:	I have been using these for 10 months and they are still not dried out. Can they last that long
Answer:	Yes, depending on the environment the guitar is kept. Although I don’t wait until the packets turn to stone before changing them. I usually change the packets when they feel a bit crunchy.
Question:	Can I use this in an electric acoustic guitar
Answer:	This product is for use in any hollow body guitar, especially during the Winter months when the heat is on and the wood tends to dry out. You MUST use a humidifier to keep the wood (especially the guitar top) of your instrument from cracking. I use this D'Addario humidifier on my custom but D-45 with excellent results.
Question:	Can you reuse the packs, like after they get hard could you put them in a humid environment and re humidify them
Answer:	Yes they can. I have been using these for years and I rotate between sets. One set is in the instrument case while the other is recharging. To recharge, get two Tupperware containers one large and one small. The smaller one (without its lid) needs to fit into the large one so that its lid can be closed. Add about 1/2 inch of water to the larger container and put the packs needed to be recharged in the smaller one, put the smaller container in the larger one and seal it. It takes about 2-3 weeks to recharge a pack that's hardened into new condition. I use humidity meters in the cases to spot check and there is no difference between a new humidipak and a recharged one. If you get the packets wet BTW, the gig is up. You have to throw them out and replace them. I get 2-3 years of service from a set of 3 before they start to fall apart. I live in Ohio BTW, so I only need them for half the year.

Question:	Does this product have any possibility of leaking out the vent holes on the sides? I keep my guitar in its case standing almost upright leaning the
Answer:	The humidifier works great, accept when you place it in a case, the case interior will absorp moisture. Buy a stand for $15.00 and squeeze out excessive water.
Question:	Can you hang the guitar on the wall with this in it
Answer:	If you set it properly then that should work. I'm not sure why you would want to though - it works best if you keep the guitar in the case. When I hang the guitar on a wall then I make sure the whole room is properly humidified.
Question:	How much water do you add
Answer:	I normally take the sponge out of the holder and soak it in a glass of water while I’m playing. When I’m done I remove the sponge from the glass and shake off the excess water. I then gently pat the sponge with a towel to remove any surface water before it put it back in it’s holder. This way no water can drip in my guitar.
Question:	How long do you soak the sponge in the planet wave gap guitar humidifier? The sponge doesn't seem to soften
Answer:	It takes about 30 mins. But put something over it to make sure it is completly submerged in water.

Answer:	The humidifier itself is 3x2x1. 5x5x1.5 are the dimensions of its packaging.
Question:	Do they make replacement sponges in this size
Answer:	D'Addario does not offer replacement sponges for this size. They do for the larger size for guitar, but not this size. Your choices would appear to be either buy the larger sponges (they're on here in packs of 3 - item GHRS) and cut them down to fit, or by another humidifier.
Question:	How well does this humidifier work in F-Style mandolin cases? Do they have to be replaced over time
Answer:	Works fine in a F-style case. They don't take up much room. The yellow thing is just a sponge, so it lasts. I've had several humidifiers for instruments. This is the one I trust.
Question:	Does this work in a soft canvass case
Answer:	Remember that the sponge needs to be damp but not soggy and the use of distilled water. I have used it in one of my soft cases and have not seen any mildew. I have been using the humidifier for only three months, during the summer, and so far it is what I needed.

Question:	Does this use the 49% RH, 70 gram packets
Answer:	There are three parts , the base of the feedback buster that fits in the hole of the guitar , the super sponge that fits in the base and the cover of the base . These are great , I have one for each guitar .
Question:	Does it use maintain or restore paks
Answer:	The difference is the humidity the packet will give you. The 49% will give you 49% humidity and the 72% will give you 72% humidity, etc. The number of grams corresponds to the size container the pack is best for.
Question:	Does this come with 2 cloth bags like the original system? One for the sound hole and one up by the neck
Answer:	If you keep the unused portion in the bag provided you should experience very little loss of shelf life, they should last several years if kept in the correct packaging.
Question:	How do you attach the clip to the sensor
Answer:	No need to. After, make sure your hygrometer is calibrated correctly, your humidor is airtight and use some 69% pacs. Boveda’s website is full of useful info.
