Answer:	You probably meant watts not volts. And yes you should assume some watts are taken by the device it self and/or manufacture issue. Get 20-30% more .

Answer:	Yes it will. Converts up and down from 110v to 220v easily. Also has fuse protection to prevent overload. I use to convert a 220v aquarium pump I bought from Korea down to 110v. Works great. WIll work for anything in the range of 5w to 100w.

Answer:	Most likely, yes. LED lights require a small fraction of the current that regular filament lights do. This Pyle unit can supply 20 amps (240W/12V) continuous. If your LED lights don't total more than 20 Amps, you're good to go. (As a word of caution from an electronics engineer - it's a good idea not to run anything at its max output, all the time. Consider keeping the current draw at 10 to 15 amps max per unit.)
Question:	By reducing the voltage by half will this double the AH rating for a 24 deep cycle battery
Answer:	YES IT CAN (with some assumptions) ASSUME: Inverter output 120 volts AC Inverter efficiency 85% (most are 90ish so conservative assumption) Supply wires to the 24-12 step down are properly sized Wiring from stepdown output to Inverter are properly sized 24 volt supply is sufficiently large An inverter putting out 1200 watts at 120 volts AC and with 85% efficiency will require 11.5 amps of 12 volt DC power. As this stepdown is 20 amps it is more than capable of running an inverter outputting 1200 watts at 120 volts. IN FACT this stepdown could power a 2100 watt 120 volt inverter though it would be working at near max capacity to do so. HOWEVER it would be more efficient to purchase a 24 volt inverter as any stepup or stepdown introduces losses. OHMS LAW is our friend when making these calculations. MY QUALIFICATIONS: Extra Class Amateur Radio (HAM) licensee - apparently more knowledgeable on electrical calculations than a NASA engineer or the Manufacturer HAM Radio instructor

Answer:	For those wonderign why anyone would want a 13.8 volt output for a 12 volt system let me SPLAIN things to ya "12 volts" is a "Nominal" value used to refer to DC electrical systems common in automotive (and other) applications. It DOES NOT mean that the system is running at 12 volts....though it may. In actuality, a fully charged "12 volt" battery in a "12 volt" system should register at 13.8 volts ACTUAL. 12 VOLTS IS LESS THAN 50% REMAINING IN A "12 VOLT" BATTERY BANK AND IN THE CASE OF ELECTROLYTIC TECHNOLOGY BATTERIES IS DAMAGING. 12.1 VOLTS IN ELECTROLYTIC BATTERIES IS 50% CHARGED So Justin's question is legit. I would have asked the same question myself. As a HAM radio operator/instructor/examiner, my radios WANT 13.8 volts if they're designed for automotive installation.

Answer:	I have paralled 2 and it works, however the load sharing is not equal..I'm sure this would void any warranty of course..I also increased the voltage out to 13.2v on both units by adding a trim resistor at the appropriate circuit connection..again, this will obviously void any warranty..If Pyle would just come out with a new unit about 2 or 3 times as big and with a fan, we could all relax..lol

Answer:	Most likely people who are having noise problems it is because of ground loop isolation problem. If you have a ground loop isolation problem grounding the preamp box is unlikely to help. Without getting technical, what you want to buy is a ground loop isolator or a humm eliminator; both the ground loop isolator and humm eliminator tackles the cause of the noise at the fundamental source of the problem, depending on your audio setup, one maybe easier to use than the other. To use the ground loop isolator or the humm eliminator they generally come with instructions, or you can google this topic. If the noise in your audio system isn't fixed by using this solution the first time, try putting the ground loop isolator and humm eliminator at various points in your audio system. Also you can talk to audio people and get advice about how to fix ground loop problems from people who setup big audio systems, for concerts and such; if you talk to the average electronic garage shop audio enthusiast you are likely to get bad advice, i.e., meaningless explanations. Also caution must be used when Googling this topic, much of the discussion, advice and explanation on this topic is bogus, you can get a general correct feel of this topic if you read a number of explanations. Also one more thing that can cause a "popping noise" is that you have too much gain, this is a phono amp and the gain is huge, it takes a 3mV and makes it 2Vp-p this is a gain of around 100 to 200, if you gain up the audio signal too much then the signal out of your amplifier runs out of head room and clips, this can cause a popping sound, essentially you have too much gain. If this is occurring you need to either buy a preamp with less gain or attenuate the signal before it gets to the preamp. If this is a problem, too much gain, you can buy preamps with gain control.

If your need was like mine (no built-in pre-amp on the turntable and no specifically dedicated phono input on your amplifier) you will find this unit to be the perfect solution to needed amplification of the turntable's output. Don't forget to hook up the ground wire as directed or you may wind up putting unwanted noise into the audio.
Question:	My amp DOES have a Phono Input, but my cartridges are low output. Can I use this to boost the signal using the Phono Input to reduce audible hiss
Answer:	No, you can't. This is a phono preamp with RIAA playback equalization that amplifies the signal about 100 times, so it essentially does what your built-in phono preamp does. The output signal from the separate preamp is equalized to a nominally "flat" frequency response and the amplified signal level will overload and probably damage your built-in phono preamp. Plug it into any other stereo line input on your system (AUX, CD, DVD, TAPE, VCR, etc.), but NOT the PHONO input! If you need higher signal gain, maybe look at phono preamps from ART or TCC that have output level controls. If you use moving-coil (MC) cartridges, you need a preamp specifically designed for them...they require at least 55 dB (over 500 times) signal gain vs. about 40 dB (100 times) for moving-magnet (MM) cartridges. Noise becomes a critical issue with MC cartridges because of their extremely low signal output, so good-quality cables and good turntable grounding are essential.

Answer:	No. Some recommend not too use the USB as a charger while using the Aux. it well make the plastic melt. I never experience that because mine didn't even want to work after using it twice.

You plug it into the cigarette lighter (as a power source) and it transmits an FM radio signal so that you can use your cars radio to tune into your iPhone, essentially. HOWEVER, as myself and countless others have said in response to questions about this product and in reviews of this product - it's not worth getting. Spend a little more money and get something that actually works. You're better off finding a similar product (ie. that does the same thing), but that isn't flawed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.
