Answer: Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.
Question: Has anyone connected a ps4 of xbox one to the wifi from the range extender? if so, signal and game play any good
Answer: If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no.
Question: Does it create a new sid or does it exteneded your current sid, so one does not have to switch to differing networks when in range
Answer: the input voltage is from 100 to 240 volts
Question: I don't understand how some people give this 4-5 stars and others can't get it to work and give it 1 star
Answer: there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself.

User questions & answers

Question: I have insteon door sensors and outlets, would they be compatible with the samsung smarthings hub
Answer: There is an app calling "Stringify" that will let you build routines with insteon and samsung (and alexa and most other zwave products).
Question: Is this compatible with the Amazon Echo :Alexa
Answer: Amazon Echo is what really makes this hub shine. I also recommend connecting the Harmony Hub. This allows you to turn off your TV and other media devices with voice command through the Echo.
Question: Is this already the new v2 hub
Answer: This is the new hub, but I'd avoid it. ST promised a lot and didn't deliver. It's been out for over a month and it still only supports one user, and is highly unstable.Worse the new app has pretty well left the V1 users in the lurch. Ask yourself, if this is how they treat the customers who funded them through kickstarter and enabled them to get rich in a $200 million buyout from Samsung, how are they going to treat you when V3 comes along? They may get their act together, but I'm beginning to have my doubts.
Question: Does this hub have to connect directly to the router? If so, what are my options if no remaining outlets on my router
Answer: No. It has to connect, via Ethernet, to your internal LAN. While it may connect directly to one of the Ethernet ports on your edge router, it need not. Since home routers typically have 1-4 LAN ports, they are quickly exhausted. If you have many non-wireless devices, you will need to add an Ethernet Switch (technically a multi-port bridge), plugged into one of the router's LAN ports. Compact, fanless, Ethernet switches come in 5-16 ports. You can have multiple Ethernet switches, which can be cascaded, or starred from the router. Although some switches can handle a loop topology, many inexpensive ones cannot.

Wirewound Resistor for Ring Video Doorbell (1st Gen) and Ring Video Doorbell 2

AMDSI

Based on 451 reviews Check latest price
  • Connect your Ring Video Doorbell (1st Gen) or Video Doorbell 2 directly to a low voltage 8-24 VAC transformer
  • Enjoy nonstop power with a hardwired power source and never worry about charging a battery
  • Only compatible with Ring Video Doorbell (1st Gen) and Ring Video Doorbell 2

User questions & answers

Question: Is this the exact same resistor (same manufacturer and same specs) as the one sold on the official Ring website
Answer: If you point it towards the garage can it can monitor it. If the garbage can was already stolen then no it can not time travel.
Question: Would it be a good to enclose the resistor in a small abs project box, like the hammond 1591bsbk? or can i just mount it exposed on a wooden rafter
Answer: One day after installing a Ring 2 , Rings notification came up to sign up for a plan. There is no workaround to get access to the Ring devices functions as any attempt leads back to the notification screen. Be aware that ring is useless without the basic plan at $30.55 per device.
Question: This says it's only compatible with Ring and Ring 2, will this work on Ring
Answer: 🤣🤣🤣 Hope I do not see any little girls with long black hair in their face nor a woman jumping off a cliff when mine is set up.🤣🤣🤣
Question: Is this compatible with a ring doorbell 2020 edition that is being hardwired, not connected to a previous doorbell
Answer: Yes. The product names are VERY CONFUSING so pay careful attention. This is the second gen of the RING DOORBELL, the standard, "entry-level" version of the product. It has a built-in battery, which means, in order to recharge the doorbell, you have to take the entire doorbell off. The RING 2 is the upgraded product, which has a "quick switch" battery. I have 2 batts, keep one charged so I can swap them as needed. RING 3 is the upgraded, new version of RING 2. Essentially the same with a couple new features. Hope that helps.

  • Includes three mounts, mounting screws, anchors, and user manual.
  • Only works with Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release).

User questions & answers

Question: Using my existing doorbell, my Ring Doorbell second generation is cutting off the heads of people, can I add a second angle up wedge
Answer: Yes of course you can add up to three wedges of any combination (horizontal or vertical). Contrary to the first response you got, it will NOT make a protruding rectangle and negate the other wedge unless you stack them in opposite directions (which would be pointless).
Question: I have a ring doorbell but to put it on vinyl siding would I need a wedge kit
Answer: Probably. If your vinyl siding slants it will impact the angle of the doorbell. The wedge kit comes with three wedges, you can add as many as you need to get the right angle for the camera.
Question: How far above the bottom of the mounting plate are the attachment holes? (our angled siding is only 4 inches tall
Answer: I don't have that information. I put mine between to Hardy planks, but I don't know the exact dimensions.
Question: Does this work with the kit that's included in the Ring Doorbell 2? I need to angle our doorbell to aim a little lower
Answer: Yes. Works perfectly. I too needed to angle mine lower to only capture motion on my property and not in the street.
